Graduate of Towson University Counseling Psychology Program
License Clinical Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor
Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
I have a diverse background in working with children, adults and families in various settings. I have assisted families with behavioral issues, parenting, and family dynamic changes. I have worked with individuals and groups to address depression, anxiety, social skills, relationship concerns, co-occurring issues (substance use and mental health) and trauma.
In my work I have served as a family, individual and group therapist and have supervised/guided newer therapists in their training.
My hope is that I can help you identify what you would like to change in your life and help guide you through this change.
My Counseling Philosophy
Meeting you where you are with understanding.
Over the years, I have learned that people decide when they are ready to change on their own. No amount of pressure, lectures, ultimatums or guilt put on by our loved ones can encourage change.
Likewise no mental health professional can promise you the change your are seeking. The work always starts with you. You are the one who makes the treatment decisions and who drives the amount of progress you make.
- What I can provide to you:
- A supportive team member to achieve your goals
- Guidance
- Psycho-education
- A non-judgmental listening ear
- Goal Setting
- Strategies to meet your goals
- Encouragement and Praise
- Honesty
- Gentle Challenges of setbacks
- Assistance in Evaluating Progress
I’ve worked with dozens of individuals, families and groups and what I have learned is that meeting people where they are in their journey with a understanding ear has led to them finding inner strength to make some last changes in their own lives.
